Boost Leaks Test & When Do You See A Power Loss
Просмотров 3,7 тыс.Месяц назад
As seen on @ThatRacingChannel. In this test, you’ll see that we put together a basic experiment to test how various sized leaks can affect a turbocharged engine. How much harder does a turbocharger have to work to keep up with the set targeted boost? How much horsepower and torque get affected with a little or big leak? How does the engine behave? What does the exhaust back pressure look like d...
SpeedFactory's Billet Bellhousing For Your Honda B Series Transmission
Просмотров 3,6 тыс.2 месяца назад
SpeedFactory has developed this CNC machined bell housing in 6061 T6 billet aluminum to achieve as much strength and durability as possible. This bell housing weighs in at 7.6lbs heavier than the OEM housing, and that extra weight can be found in problematic areas like between where the two gear stack bearings sit, eliminating the cracked housing issue. This video goes over all the features of ...

Thats not a 2jz.
Thank you! Very informative. I have a GM 6.5TD 1999 and want to maximize the performance of said design. It has High compression ratio so boost will be limited to 1BAR for longevity. But a higher volumetric efficiency and intercooler should net usable results.
Are twin disc clutches and multi plate clutches the same?
where is the continuation?)
Awesome test, thanks for sharing! I definitely wasn't expecting these results, especially the similar low end torque. I would have thought that the Ultra Race manifold would have killed the low end torque with such short runners. It would have been awesome to see a baseline run with the stock K24 manifold though so we could see the difference. The OEM RBC and/or RRC manifolds would be a great comparison too so we could see if upgrading from an OEM manifold would be worth it.
I think the Coyote and Cyclone engines will become legendary.
Really excellent video. Thanks.
Do you need to pin fit the wrist pins to rods? Or should all fit from factory?
I've been building engines since the mid 90's and never lubed the back of the bearing on install. I also never get the sheared off "dirt" when i install them. The block is generally not 100% dry on install either, some amount of rust preventing lube is needed on all blocks. I wipe the back of the bearing and the housing clean with a non-lint cloth and away we go. Purposely oiling between the bearing and housing will change clearances, maybe not enough for a failure, but the change is not predictable or measurable during final assembly and should not be done. When disassembling a properly built engine, you will find little to no lube on the bearing back or the housing. If you are still convinced that you need to do it, use something very thin, like WD40.
Hats off, great job. I honour your experience as a person with 40 uears of experience myself. You are great. Thank you for blessing me with such a video.
All of Skunk2’s manifolds are shit. The quality isn’t worth the gains. Ported RRC is the way to go.
I have to disagree about sumped steel tanks. It's not like there's a big hole the size of the sump is cutout and the sump installed. The sump is baffled by several small hole saw openings being drilled, then the sump installed. That being said, I've now used a sump tank and they work like a champ!!
I never oil the back of the bearings, but back in the day I did a lot of in-chassis rebuilds, and a lot of bearing roll ins. Damn things will drip oil for like a week so it's kind of unavoidable to get some oil on the back. I never worried about it and it never hurt anything. I used to have most in-chassis done in a day, and a bearing roll-in done before lunch, so there was no time to let them drip until it stopped. Truck and equipment downtime is way too expensive to worry about crap like that. At the time we were billing the trucks out at 100 per hour, and that was 30 years ago. No time to pretend you're working for NASA
Damn. If I nick the crankshaft with the mic it's going to send me back in time?!? Holy f***!
can we get tb that retains cruise control need one for my 05 accord cable
where is the #3 cylinder on this motor?
Would these manifolds be a direct bolt on to the k24z7 motors?
Is it compatible with my Lexus sc300 2jz-GE?
Iron and NOT ALUMINUM!? What a waste.. And you'll still be a few hundred pounds heavier than the LS swaps. Should've made a tall deck, lower crank clearance version for strokers and revised head.
Answered a lot of questions I’ve been having and still have so many more to find the answer too.
Love you guys. Before watching this I was still undecided on which one I'd consider getting. Now what would you recommend for a forced induction application? Or are you guys going to make a separate video for that?
Thank you! We'll be doing a separate test for turbo applications.
😂😂 FORD is garbage period 😂😂
Cut and ported RBC > 😂 tell me I’m wrong.
You sound brand new explaining sbf stuff...stick to what ever else you do
Is there an upgraded transmission to hold powers of 700+?
ATF Transmission
Fanfuckingtastical presentation and I am definitely going to consider your products for my next build
All I seen is 2 guys talking and the engine in the distance.
Need one on my mk3 focus RS
I’d like to see pipe diameter and intercooler sizing vs lag. Back in the day I could afford a large (Greddy) intercooler before I could a large single turbo and was told it would lag badly. I did it anyway and my datalogs showed little to no difference on street pulls. I’d love to see this quantified on the dyno and know where sizing begins to make an impact!
ultra street 74mm TB 3" manifold 70mm system 50degree vtc Made 255 / 205ftlb @ 8000rpm Since then, gone full 3" setup and expect closer to 260
Nice! sounds like a fun build
@@realstreetperformance Just adding my 2pence as to further backup your test results. Although, how did you find the port alignment to the head on your ultra street manifold, mine were iffy?
this video's background music is awful, should be illegal
So ultra race for boost? I still use my stock rbc and stock tb
We'll do a turbo application test soon :)
@@realstreetperformance noice m8! Thanks for the reply!
Why are those dry sump pumps so expensive? They’re such a simple thing, and you’re pumping them out like sausages. $2000 aud for some small 2-3 stage pumps??
Love when wife's support husband!! J is doing right!
Nice to see that artec manifold putting in work!!!!! Thing is 1000hp capable
Can I daisy chain this to my existing Innovate A/F gauge?
It'll be nice if you guys have the Skunk2 center feed plenum to compare. Would like to see how that will perform.
C22SE
Ecotec 2.2
Would have liked to know the OA weight, is it secret?
Too bad they didn`t say what the weight of the car is.They said it was 4 ft longer and 2000 lbs more than the shorter car that ran the boosted motor cycle engined liner. That means like 3500-4500 lbs. That is a lot of weight to go 320mph.
Where is the Dyno chart?
Can I coat my tires with this so they last longer
This is he best comparison I've seen in a while no Bs just strait to the point ,much love
Thank you!
Can you do this with a B series lol.
For sure :)
@@realstreetperformance that would be really helpful. The B is not dead lol
so, when you going k in the teggy? <3
10/10
Need to see exhaust manifold
scotch brite has aluminum oxide which is not good to introduce arround the lubrication system of the engine especially in the connecting rod area
